democracy
Democracy is a political form of government carried out either directly by the people or by means of elected representatives of the people. The term comes from the Greek -demokratía which means "rule of the people", which was coined from demos "people" and kratos "power", in the middle of the fifth-fourth century BC. For example, in a representative democracy, every vote has equal weight, no restrictions can apply to anyone wanting to become a representative, and the freedom of its citizens is secured by legitimized rights.
Citizenship is the state of being a citizen of a particular social, political, or national community. Citizenship, under social contract theory, carries with it both rights and responsibilities. "active citizenship" is the philosophy that citizens should work towards the betterment of their community.
Our school is inspired by this democracy and has adopted this keeping its moto- DUTY, DECIPLINE & DEDUCATION.
